Katy Ann Trout, 85, of Garrison, Kentucky, passed away, Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Best Care Health and Rehabilitation in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Katy was born May 12, 1940, in Morehead, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Hubert and Viola Bowles Worthington. Katy was a self-employed beautician for several years. Katy was also owner and operator of an auction house and antique business in Lewis County, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Charlie Johnson and her 2nd husband Justin “JD” Trout; a son Rick Johnson; a grandson Chad Johnson; three brothers Curtis Worhtington, Glen Worthington, and Hubert ”Bud” Worthington; nine sisters Nola Faye Claxon, Mae Abdon, Minnie Robertson, Betty McLaughlin, Carolyn Wolfe, Darlene Worthington, Georgie Bays, Rosemary Evans, and Margret Worthington.
She is survived by a daughter Charla Johnson o0f Lucasville, Ohio; a step daughter Tracie Trout of Ashland; three sisters Donna Cooper of Hudson, Florida, Karen Mowery of Lloyd, Kentucky, and Sandra (Gary) Floyd of Oldtown, Kentucky; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Pastor Joe Kennedy. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until service time. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.
