Janet Kay Baldridge

Janet Kay Baldridge, 69, of Danleyton, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Community Hospice care Center in Ashland, Kentucky surrounded by her loving family. Janet was born May 17, 1957, in Greenup, Kentucky, a daughter of the late George Elmer and Jessie Hannah Hall.

Janet was employed with the Greenup County School system for many years. She worked several roles throughout her years at Argillite Elementary where she enjoyed and cherished the children that she worked with throughout her career. She loved her family and friends dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Chester H. Baldridge Jr.; two brothers Clarence Hall and his wife Annalea, and Buddy Hall and his wife Margie; four sisters Violet Jenkins and her husband Charles, Betty Jean Hall, Wanda Boggs and her husband Ray, and Susie Davis and her husband Randy.

She is survived by a son Jonathan (Becky) Baldridge of Wheelersburg, Ohio; a daughter Stephanie (John Sexton) Jenkins of Grayson, Kentucky; a brother Paul (Linda) Hall of Williamsburg, Kentucky; a sister Cathy Rice of Winchester, Kentucky; a grandson Aiden Baldridge; a step- grandson Matthew Perkins;  a host of nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers that she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be conductedat 11:00am Wednesday, June 9, 2026, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Rev. Jack Thornton.  Burial will be in the Quillen Cemetery, Lynn, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00pm on Tuesday, and one hour before the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
