Henry Hardin Patrick, 81, of York, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky after an extended illness. Henry was born on September 24, 1943, in York, Kentucky, a son of the late Chester Lee (Cora Archey) Patrick and Beulah Bundy Patrick.
Henry was a member of Hampshire Enterprise Baptist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a tobacco farmer, logger and enjoyed raising gardens. He worked for the Greenup County Road Department for 40 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Geneva Ruggles Patrick; one half-sister Greta Burton.
He is survived by one son Henry (Jamie) Patrick Jr. of York, Kentucky; four daughters Brenda Bowling of York, Kentucky, Patricia Patrick of York, Kentucky, Lori (Rick) Gifford of York, Kentucky, and Sarah (Kriss) Scaggs of Greenup, Kentucky; nephews Terry (Stacie) Burton of Greenup, Kentucky and Travis (Sara) Burton of Wurtland, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren Brandon Bowling, Layne (Brooklynn) Patrick, Miranda (James) Wireman, Kennedy Patrick, Brianna (Dan Mahoney) Bowling, Samuel Patrick, Leroy (Ricki) Gifford, Luke Patrick, Kriss Scaggs, Kallie Patrick, and Andy Scaggs; four great grandchildren Rosalie Bradley, Skylynn Bradley, Marie Wireman, and Eleanor Gifford. He would never say goodbye, only “I’ll saw ya later!”.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Bro. Ezra Burton. Burial will be in Patrick Family Cemetery in York, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour before the service on Thursday. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com.
