Gary M. Nylund Jr., 65, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away, Friday, December 12,2025, at River Run Healthcare of Portsmouth, Ohio. Gary was born September 26, 1960, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of Ethel McCallister Nylund of Portsmouth, Ohio and the late Gary Nylund Sr. Gary was a graduate of Portsmouth High School and formerly worked at Fiberoptics Co. in Florida for several years.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Adams Nylund.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers Steve Nylund and Keith Nylund both of Portsmouth, Ohio; two sisters Robin (Kevin) Downey and Roberta Nylund both of Portsmouth, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Portsmouth, Ohio. Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky has been entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com
