Gail Marie Moore

Gail Marie Moore, 68, of Greenup, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, September 2, 2024, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.

Gail was born April 1, 1956, in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Willard and Mary McCown Castle.

Gail was a 1974 graduate of Ashland Paul Blazer High School. She was a former employee at Greenup FoodFair and she also worked at various places throughout the area. She loved spending time with her grandchildren who she greatly adored and her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl E. Moore; three sisters Infant Pam Castle, Charlene Justice and Deborah Holbrook.

She is survived by a daughter Shannon (Deven) Gilliam of Greenup, Kentucky; a brother Randy (Lynn) Castle of Ashland, Kentucky two grandchildren Christian Shinkle and Marni Gilliam; her best friend Vickie Gullett-Moore of Ashland, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am, Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky.  Burial will be in the Little Rosa Cemetery, Smith Branch Road, Greenup, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Wednesday and one hour before the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
