Evelyn Jean Horsley

Evelyn Jean Horsley, 79, of Worthington, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at her daughters home surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.

Evelyn was born February 8, 1943, in Greenup County, Kentucky a daughter of the Late Thomas Zornes and Mary Cross Prince.

Evelyn was a member of the Chinns Branch Freewill Baptist Church in Wurtland, Kentucky. She loved to paint, read her Bible, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Paul Zornes and a special sister-in-law Edith Horsley.

She is survived by a son Steven Horsley of Westwood, Kentucky; two daughters Sharon (Everett) Stapleton of Ashland, Kentucky, and Angela (James) Jackson of Worthington, Kentucky; nine grandchildren Melissa Prater, Dakota Winters, Karen Winters, Jarrod Strother, Amber Stapleton, Amanda Bowen, Andrea Bowen, David Stapleton, and Payton Horsley; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way; a special sister-in-law Viola Burton of Greenup, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, October 28, 2022, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Bro. Ernie Melvin.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time Friday, at the funeral home.
