Ernest Franklin “Boss” Harris, 92, of Greenup, Kentucky, passed away, Tuesday, October 28, 2025, ay King’s Daughters’ Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Frank was born September 7, 1933, in Oldtown, Kentucky, a son of the late Charles and Martha Allen Harris. Frank was a 1952 graduate of the former Wurtland High School and was a United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed working on his farm. He loved watching baseball. Frank was a wonderful brother and uncle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Albert Wayne “Duck” Harris.
He is survived by two brothers Herman (Wanda) Harris of Load, Kentucky and Gregory (Karla) Harris of Land of Lakes, Florida; four sisters Nancy Roland of Lloyd, Kentucky, Mable Ann Hall of Greenville, South Carolina, Beulah Maxine Coburn of Carter City, Kentucky, and Judy Harris (Keith) Penner of Milan, Michigan; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00pm Friday, October 31, 2025, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky. Burial will be in the Harris Cemetery, Load, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until funeral time at 12:00 pm.
