Ella Juanita Quillen

Ella Juanita Quillen, 95, of Greenup, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 20, 2026, at South Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in South Shore, Kentucky. Juanita was born May 29, 1931, in Greenup, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Horace and Dorothy Boggs Hieneman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joe Gilmore Quillen, two sisters Mary Lou Hamilton and Darlene Crawford; four brothers Horace Hieneman Jr., Bob Hieneman, Jackie Hieneman, and Don Hieneman.

She is survived by two sons Timothy and his wife Rhonda Quillen of Lloyd, Kentucky and Tony his wife Debra Quillen of South Shore, Kentucky; a daughter Susan Quillen of Lloyd, Kentucky; two brothers Joe Hieneman of Wurtland, Kentucky and Ed (Wanda) Hieneman of Greenup, Kentucky; five grandchildren Brian (Traci) Quillen, Stephen Quillen, Henry (Katie) Quillen, Alexandra (Max) Prowant, and Abigail (Ethan) Potter; six great-grandchildren Mariah (Kyle) Taylor, Tyler Joseph Quillen, and Garrett (Tori Bucci) Quillen, Portia Quillen, Arthur Prowant, and June Prowant; a sister in law Rebecca “Bonnie” Hieneman of Greenup, Kentucky; host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 27, 2026, by Dr. Tom Melvin. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com
