Edward “Ed” Lee Kegley

Edward “Ed” Lee Kegley, 68 of Franklin Furnace, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Ed was born October 30, 1955, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Cecil and Geraldine Brooker Kegley. Ed was a 1973 graduate of Green High School and was a member of the Smith Branch Church of God in Greenup, Kentucky. Ed loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren.  He loved his family dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Fred Kegley and a sister Donna Lane.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Joyce Holbert Kegley; a son Charles (Amy Cassidy) Kegley of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; a daughter Tracie (Kelly) Howell of Frankin Furnace, Ohio; a brother Roy (Cathy) Kegley of  Franklin Furnace, Ohio; nine grandchildren Ashley Collins, Russell Collins, Tiffany Kegley, Kimberly Kegley, Chelsey Kegley, Miley Kegley, Alyssa Ackerman, Harrison Bianco and Cassidy McCoy; seven great grandchildren Kota, Thomas, Liam, Carter, Madilyn, Taylor, and Phebe.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, November 13, 2023, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time on Monday. In lieu of flowers donations can be made towards the funeral expenses.
