Darryl J. Castle

Darryl J. Castle, 62, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, passed away, Thursday, August 3, 2023, at his home. Darryl was born February 27, 1961, in Ashland, Kentucky, a son of the late Donald and Betty Jo Dove Castle. Darryl was a former truck driver for Boyd County Road Department. He was a Kentucky Colonel and attended Whites Creek United Methodist Church in Catlettsburg. He also was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Ashland, Kentucky. He loved to fish and play bingo.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Donnie Castle, Gary Castle, and Art Castle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Kathy Fannin Castle; two sons Jason Castle and Jerry (Samanatha) Castle both of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; a daughter Jodi (Delbert) Farley of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; ten grandchildren Devin, Justin, Jacob and his wife Hailey, Jerade, Kaden, Landon, Cami, Brantly, Khloe, and Ava; six great-grandchildren; a niece Frances Castle; two nephews Robert Castle and Gary Ray (Heather) Catle Jr.; a several other nieces and nephews; special family members Mary Ann Hopkins and her children Jeffrey Shannon, Shane Hopkins, and Brandon Shannon. Darryl will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
