Claudine Ashley

Claudine Ashley, 89, of Argillite, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Oakmont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Flatwoods, Kentucky. Claudine was born August 16, 1933, in Flatwoods, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Raymond and Clara Bland Snoddy. She was a retired teacher’s aide from the Greenup County School System and was a member of the Brush Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl E. Ashley; a daughter Carolyn Miller; and three sisters Helen Herndon, Nora Ann Pope and Ruth Bradley.

She is survived by two sons Kevin (Sheri) Ashley of Greenup, Kentucky and Randy (Dana) Ashley of Argillite, Kentucky; eight grandchildren Kyle (Jessica) Sexton, Nicole (Ryan) Roar, Kadin (Kailen) Ashley, Kristin (Andrew) Thompson, Brandi Ashley, Kennedy (Samantha) Ashley, Karli (Matthew) Robinson and Dustin Ashley; five great-grandchildren Ryder Roar, Jacob Sexton, Jadin Sexton, Nevaeh Roar and Ethan Roar; a brother-in-law Raymond Pope of Flatwoods, Kentucky; special neighbors Paul and Treva Bates, Claudette Conley and Glenna Scaggs all of Argillite, Kentucky; a special niece Patti (Roy) Wolfe of Vera Beach, Florida, several nieces and nephews. Claudine will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Monday, October 17, 2022, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Bro. Larry Garvin. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, Kentucky.
