Cathy Ann Freeman, 58, of New Boston, Ohio, passed away, Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Southern Ohio Hospice Center, in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Cathy was born January 10, 1968, in San Leandro, California, a daughter of the late James and Gloria Sowards Greenslate.

She was a bartender and member of the New Boston Eagles 2771. She was good grandmother and enjoyed taking care of her granddaughters and grandson.

She is survived by two sons James and his wife Ashley Craft and Derek Freeman both of Portsmouth, Ohio; a daughter Chelsea Freeman of Barboursville, West Virginia; two sisters Patty Breech of South Shore, Kentucky and Mary Ann Murphy of Georgia; four grandchildren Lilly Craft, Carter Craft. Alyssa Freeman and Acacia Freeman.

There will be a celebration of Life at 8:00pm, Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Sunshine Community Church in South Shore, Kentucky by Pastor Chris Fannin. Friends may visit from 6:00pm until service time at 8:00pm.

Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky has been entrusted with the arrangements.
