Brenda Sue Bazley Bailey

Brenda Sue Bazley Bailey, 61, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Sibley Memorial Hospital Hospice Care in Washington D. C. after a two-year battle with esophageal cancer. Brenda was born July 14, 1963, in Elkhart, Indiana, the daughter of Charlene Litteral Cameron of Port Charlotte, Florida, and the late Thomas Richard Bazley.

She enjoyed finding all the best deals, trying new restaurants, making new recipes, cooking and taking care of people.  Being around her family and friends was one of her greatest joys.  She will forever be the best handyman, and the person with all the right answers.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son Jacob Burgess; brother Robert Bazley; and stepfather William J. Cameron.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband Mathis Bailey; daughter Rebecca Davis of Arlington, Virginia; her grand pets Minnie and Grouper; and many beloved cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family would like to say thanks to all the wonderful nurses, doctors, and staff at Johns Hopkins Memorial Hospital in Washington D.C. and to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland for all their kindness, care, and support that they gave to Brenda throughout her battle.
