Barbara Ann Atkins, 81, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, on January 5, 2025, at her residence in Greenup. Barbara was born on January 3, 1944, in Howell, Michigan, a daughter of the late Thomas Wayne and Virginia Louise Gullett McConnell. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesburg Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Atkins and one sister Rita Lewis.
She is survived by two sons Aaron Atkins of Greenup, Kentucky and George (Suzanne) Atkins of Leesburg, Florida; one daughter Teresa (Thomas) Cook of Load, Kentucky; one brother David (Donna) Bradbury of Greenup, Kentucky; two sisters Sue Sizemore of Wurtland, Kentucky and Diane Cook of Greenup, Kentucky; two grandchildren Miranda Atkins and Katie Cook.
There will be a private graveside service for family at the McConnell Cemetery. Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky has been entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com.
