April Yvonne Payne, 64, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away, Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s in Westerville Ohio.
April was born February 9, 1962, in Corpus Christi, Texas, a daughter of the late George L. and Shirley Rhea Stephens. April enjoyed crocheting and was a member of the Eagles Linden Fraternal Order Aerie 2252 in Columbus, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years George H. Payne; two sons Joshua Walters and George E. Payne both of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter Tiffany (Doug) Mays of Laurelville, Ohio; a brother Beaucifus “Beau” of Columbus, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1;00pm, Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky. Burial will be in the Smith Family Cemetery in Greenup, Kentucky.
