Virgil Gibson

Virgil Gibson, 88, of Lloyd, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Monday September 7, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Gibson was born March 15, 1932 in Siloam, Kentucky a son of the late James and Grace Flannery Gibson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Bays; one son Eddie Gibson; one daughter Pamela Howard; one brother Robert Gibson; and one sister Bonnie Smith.

He is survived by his wife Ellen Adkins Gibson

Rick (Vil) Adkins of South Shore, Kentucky

Three daughters

Angela (Don) Hamilton of Richwood, Ohio

Janet (Terry) Breech of South Shore, Kentucky

Stella (Clayton) Oliver of South Shore, Kentucky

23 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday September 10, 2020 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Minister Clayton Oliver. Burial will be in Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8 :00 pm on Wednesday and one hour before the service on Thursday.
