Robert Paul Woodard, 79, of Flatwoods, Kentucky went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
Robert was born June 7, 1940 in Stanton, Kentucky a son of the late Robert W. and Loretta Pearl Fryar Woodard.
He was a 1958 graduate of McKell High School and Morehead State University where he received a bachelor degree in math and biology. He also was a graduate of Cincinnati University with an engineering degree. He was employed for 30 years at Armco Steel in Russell, Kentucky and 16 years at Walle Corporation in Winchester, Kentucky. He was former president of the Lloyd Lions Club and was a member with the Greenup Lions Club for many years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Kathy Salmons.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Yvonne Bentley Woodard; one daughter Linette (Rodney) Hieneman of Flatwoods, Kentucky; one sister Donna Jean (Jack) Park of Ashland, Kentucky; two granddaughters Sara Hieneman and Sydney Hieneman; two nieces Erica Myers and Adriane Ferguson; two nephews Jack Park Jr. and Scott Park.
Due to the Covid-19 virus there will be private graveside services at Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd by Pastor Ken Gowin. Reed Funeral Home in Greenup has been entrusted with the services.
