Sharon Kay Chaffins

Sharon Kay Chaffins, 73, of Greenup, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord Wednesday September 19, 2018 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mrs. Chaffins was born March 19, 1945 in Greenup, Kentucky a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Frances Elizabeth Nichols Belford. She was a member of House of Praise in Greenup, Kentucky. She was one of the founders of Meals On Wheels and helped build the kitchen that they still use today. She loved her community and helping the people of the community. She was an organ donor. Sharon did a lot of things like taking people to their doctor appointments and buying clothes for children. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by

There will be a memorial service held from 1:00pm - 2:30pm on Friday September 28,2018 at the House of Praise, 2105 Ashland, Road (Route 23), Greenup, Kentucky. A Celebration of Life dinner will be held afterward from 3:00pm – 6:00pm at Flatwoods Senior Citizens Center, 2513 Reed Street, Flatwoods, Kentucky. We are asking everyone to please bring a covered dish. Sharon’s family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and thoughtfulness during this hard time.
