Martha Quillen

Martha Quillen, 90, of Big White Oak Road, York, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on August 27, 2016 at her residence.

Mrs. Quillen was born February 10, 1926 in Load, Kentucky a daughter of the late John and Maude Dingus Chaffins.

She was a member of the former Carr Baptist Church on Big White Oak Road

Was a founding member of Big White Oak Community Club

Worked with Greenup County Fair for many years and made rag rugs that were sold through Greenbo State Park, Greenup Old Fashion Days, and other community events.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William T. Quillen in 1998.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday August 31, 2016 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor Jim Yates.

Burial will be in D.C. Quillen Cemetery in Greenup, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday August 30, 2016 and one hour before the service on Wednesday.
