1946-2016

Blaine Greene I, 69, of Gillsville, Georgia, formerly of Greenup, Kentucky, passed away Thursday March 10, 2016 at North East Georgia Medical Center in Gainsville, Georgia.

Mr. Greene was born in Lubec, Maine on Septmeber 5, 1946 a son of the late Francis and Edythe Cox Greene.

He was a devote Christian, loving father, grandfather, and brother.

He loved the outdoors.

He served in the United States Army and was Vietnam War Veteran.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by

two brothers David Greene and Brian Greene

He is survived by

Two sons Blaine II “Skip” and Amanda Greene of Gillsville, Georgia

“Buddy” and Robin Kinsey of Grand Rapids, Michigan

Two daughters Billie Jo and Brian Decker of Pot Charlotte, Florida

Bobbie Jo and Jamie Handshaw of Commerce, Georgia

One Sister Lettie Gullett of Greenup, Kentucky

13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren

Several nieces and nephews

Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Pastor Danny Brown. Burial will be in the Gullett-Greene Cemetery in Greenup, Kentucky. Military rites will be performed by Marine Corps League Greenbo Detachment #1345.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
