David Coleman Smith

1935-2016

David Coleman Smith, 80, of Orlando, Florida passed away, Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Florida Hospital South in Orlando, Florida.

David was born September 15, 1935 in Raceland, KY a son of the late James H and Anna Mae Nickell Smith.

He was a 1953 graduate of Wurtland High School, a 1965 graduated from Morehead State University and he was a United States Air Force Veteran.

Mr. Smith was employed by North Electric Company/ITT in Galion, OH from 1968 until 1981. He was also employed by Lockheed Martin United Space Alliance at Kennedy Space Center from 1981 until retirement in 1999.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 brother, Raymond Smith and 1 sister, Reba Salmon.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Mary Lou Turner Smith.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, March 4, 2016 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Rev. Donald Young. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East, Greenup, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 am until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
