Ida Margaret Sierer
Ida Margaret “GRANNY” Sierer, 81, of Greenup, Kentucky went home to be with Jesus on Saturday September 19, 2015 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky.
Ida was born on March 14, 1934 in Ypsilanti, Michigan a daughter of the late Howard Bennett and Jesse Blodgett Leach.
Granny was the greatest mother in the world! Her compassion, care, and love for others was unending. She was a devout Christian and expressed the love of Jesus to everyone she came in contact with. Granny never meet a stranger. She was amazing at making every one of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren feel like they were her favorite. Always giving a heartfelt hug, kiss, advice, and of course a bag of candy. She had such impact on everyone she came in contact with, that while she worked at Wal-Mart they gave her the nickname “Granny Wal-Mart”.
She was preceded in death by her husband Emerson Sierer

2 sisters Ruth Ann (Tom) Myles of St. Augustine, Florida
Donna Lee (Richard) Geswein of Waterloo, Ohio
A daughter-in-law who was considered a daughter Lorvella Slone-Costa of Canal Winchester, Ohio
30 grandchildren and a plethora of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at noon, Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Catlettsburg Church of God by Pastor George Ford, Pastor Michael Justice, Rev. Jack Edwards, Pastor Tony Daniels
Visitation will be from 6-9:00 pm on Tuesday September 22, 2015 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky.
