Audra Jane Akers

Audra Jane Akers Jordan, 49, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 3, 2015 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky.

Audra was born January 25, 1966 in Russell, Kentucky the daughter of Jane Hurn of Greenup, Kentucky a nd Denny Akers of Flatwoods, Kentucky.

She was a 1984 graduate of Greenup County High School and a graduated from Morehead State University with a bachelor degree in Special Education. She was a former special education teacher at Raceland -Worthington High School in Raceland, Kentucky.

She also was an avid member of AARF.

In addition to her parents she is survived by

2 sons, Austin Lee Jordan of Flatwoods, KY and

Airman Charles Christopher Jordan United States Air Force;1 brother Charlie Akers and his wife Vanessa of Westwood, Kentucky; 2 sisters, Jennie Stephens and her husband Lee of Nicholasville, Kentucky and Susan Linthicum and her husband Nolan of Greenup, Kentucky

Nieces and Nephews, Whitley Akers, Katie Akers, Dustin Linthicum, Sierra Linthicum, Cameron Akers and Mykayla Akers

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Greenup United Methodist Church in Greenup by Bro. Keith Adkins.. Burial will be in the Sunset Cemetery in Greenup.

Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 am until service time at the church.

At the request of the family in lieu of flowers donation may be made to Reed Funeral Home towards Audra’s funeral expenses.
