James Sherman Collier

James Sherman Collier, 79, of Load, Kentucky went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, April 2, 2020 at his home with his wife holding his hand. Jim was born January 5, 1941 in Load, Kentucky a son of the late Willard Dee and Frances Bartram Collier.

Jim had been a preacher for over 50 years and was a former pastor and associate pastor at Hampshire Enterprise Baptist Church in Lynn, Kentucky. He was also a United States Army Veteran. He was a retired carman and welder from CSX Railroad. He loved farming and spending time with his family. Jim will be greatly missed by his family who loved and cared for him dearly.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter Tina Elizabeth Collier; one brother William Collier and one sister Ella Collier.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Mary Elizabeth Burton Collier; one son Matthew J. (Stacy) Collier of Load, Kentucky; two daughters Alicia (Ray) Donnelly and Kathy Brammer of Cold Spring, Kentucky; two brothers Roger Collier and Bobby Collier of Load; one sister Delores Hess of Cannonsburg; seven grandchildren, Shannon Donnelly, Joe Donnelly, Bryce Donnelly, James Brammer, Katie Brammer, Morgan Collier, Luke Collier, and a grandchild on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews.
