Ralph "Buster" Purnell

Ralph Purnell, 67 of Greenup, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

Buster was born July 5, 1952 in Ashland, Kentucky a son of the late Leslie and Elizabeth Purnell.

He was a former medical deliveryman for the American Red Cross and was a United States Army Veteran.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Diane Kaye Nichols Purnell.

He is survived by two sons Michael Purnell of Louisville, Kentucky and Jason Purnell of Ashland, Kentucky; one daughter Tonya (Jamie Cline) Purnell of Ashland, Kentucky; four grandchildren Caitlyn Cline, Shianne Purnell, Carly Cline and Kayelin Purnell; a special niece Jessica Brown Miller of Georgetown, Kentucky; a special nephew Douglas Brown of Greenup, Kentucky and a sister-in-law Carolyn “Susie” Hall of Coal City, Indiana.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Dr. Tom Melvin. Burial will be in the Nichols Cemetery in Argillite, Kentucky.
