Joyce E. Young

Joyce E. Young, 89, of Greenup, Kentucky passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 at Kingsbrook Life Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Joyce was born August 18, 1930 in Greenup, Kentucky a daughter of the late George Washington and Elva McKenzie Nichols. She formerly attended Plymouth Heights Nazarene Church in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. She was preceded in death by first husband of 51 years William Curtis Young and her second husband William Ward Howard; six brothers Edward R, Nichols, James R. Nichols, Burl Nichols, Raymond Nichols, Charles Nichols and Willis Nichols; two sisters Georgie Mullins and Mary Helen Downs; two sons William Gerald Young and Kenneth Ray Young. She is survived by one brother Ralph Nichols of Greenup, Kentucky; one granddaughter Wendi Miller Zainesville, Ohio; two grandchildren William Gerald Young (Stephanie) of Frazeyburg, Ohio and Kenneth Wayne (Sondra) Young of Columbus, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Dr. Tom Melvin. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, Kentucky.
