Kathy Ellen Callihan

Kathy Ellen Callihan, 65, of Argillite, Kentucky passed away Friday, November 29, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Kathy was born May 29, 1954 in Ashland, Kentucky a daughter of the late Harold and Bertha Douglas Pennington.

She was a retired cook from the Greenup County Detention Center.

In addition to her parent she was preceded in death by one brother Jerry Pennington; two sisters Sandra Brown and Patricia Keeton.

She is survived by one son Jerry Ray Callihan II of Ashland, Kentucky; two daughters Lisa (James) Griffith of Argillite, Kentucky and Shanna Fryer of Grayson, Kentucky; one sister Mary Yates of Flatwoods, Kentucky; four Grandchildren Makenna Griffith, Jayce Griffith, Asher Miller and Avery Miller; several nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Pastor Lloyd Baldrige. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.

Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home.
