Betty Jean Garvin, 83, of Flatwoods, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Monday, February 11, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Garvin was born January 23, 1936 in Argillite, Kentucky a daughter of the late Everett and Carrie Fraley Litteral. Betty was a member of the Flatwoods Freewill Baptist Church and was a member and bass guitarist for the Smith Quartet, Gullett Family Gospel Group and Kings Children. She also played with Harry Gullett and her husband Bert Garvin. She was an Avon representative in which she was a member of the Avon Presidents Club. She loved working with Scouting where she won an award for working with scouting for the handicap Troop #168. She was finance chairman of the troops that raised money to send the troops to the 1981 Presidential Inaugural of Ronald Reagan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bert Garvin who passed in 2011.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, February 15, 2019 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Bro. Larry Garvin. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
