Mary Salley

Mary Salley, 93, of Argillite, Kentucky went to be with Lord, Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born March 18, 1925 in Ashland, Kentucky a daughter of the late Manford and Anna Evans Blevins. She was a member of Hunnewell United Baptist Church. During World War II she was a riveter in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her husband Luther Salley, three brothers Jimmy Bowling, Carl Blevins, and Curtis Bowling; four sisters Leola Jackson, Emma Szerynski, Esther Akers, and Sarah Woods. 

She is survived by

Gary (Charlotte) Salley of Argillite, Kentucky

Steve (Christy) Salley of Argillite, Kentucky

Bobby (April) Salley of Argillite, Kentucky 

one daughter

Donna (Mike) May of Argillite, Kentucky

a host of nieces and nephews 

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor Dewey McCarty and Pastor Frank Hackworth.  Burial will be in the Blevins Cemetery in Argillite. Visitation will be from 6:00–8:00 pm Friday and one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be made at rlrfuneralhome.com
