Freda Joan Salley

Freda Joan Salley, 74, of Argillite, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her residence Friday May 25, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Salley was born April 12, 1944 in Carter County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Freddie and Ada Mae Conley Dickens.

She was of the Baptist faith. Freda was a loving mother, hard worker, and a gifted seamstress. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gaylord Salley; one daughter Pamela Jean Salley; two brothers Harold Dickens and Herald Dickens; two sisters Ruth Diamond and Jean Carson. She is survived by

one son Terry Salley of Argillite, Kentucky; three daughters Theresa Salley of Argillite, Kentucky, Regina and James Chaney II of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and Sherry and Kenton Horsley of Raceland, Kentucky; four grandchildren James Chaney III, Kayla and Seth McDonald, Kim and Josh Smallwood, and McKenna Horsley; five great grandchildren Nathan McDonald, Alyssa McDonald, Levi McDonald, Ethan Chaney, and Josiah Smallwood; a special niece Crystal Waggoner and her son Ashton Moore of Grayson, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at noon on Tuesday May 29, 2018 at Gilliam Cemetery in Argillite, Kentucky by Bro. Joe Hutchinson and her nephew James Dickens.
