Zola Sargent Allen

Zola Sargent Allen, 83, of Oldtown, Kentucky passed away Sunday December 11, 2016 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell. Kentucky.

Mrs. Allen was born December 2, 1933 in Morgan County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Fred and Linda Wilson Sargent.

Zola graduated from Morehead State University with a Master’s Degree in education and a Rank I degree in library science. She was employed by the Greenup County School System for 34 years. Zola was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Greenup. She loved reading, gardening, making quilts, and baskets.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday December 14, 2016 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Danny Evans.

Burial will be in Allen Cemetery in Oldtown, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 11 until service time on Wednesday.
