Norman Warnock Archie Jr., 82, of Raceland, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
Norm was born August 7, 1932 in Raceland, Kentucky a son of the late Norman Warnock Sr. and Cora McCoy Archie.
Norm was a retired United States Air Force SSGT Veteran with 22 years service. He served in the Vietnam Conflict and Korean War. He also was retired from Pactiv in Wurtland, Kentucky. He was a lifetime member of the Amvets, VFW, and Howard Thomas American Legion Post 43, Raceland, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 brother William “Bud” Archie, 2 sisters Ethel Neace
and Maude Gumbert
He is survived by his loving wife of 25years Sue Crum Archie;2 sons, Randall Dale “R.D.” Archie and his wife Nikki of Jessup, GA and Tracy Lee Archie and his wife Samantha of Raceland, KY; 1 sister, Ruth Brown of Franklin Furnace, Ohio
6 grandchildren, Erin, Gavin, Austin, Keaton, Beau, and Easton; Several nieces and nephews
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 7, 2015 by Marvin Brown at the Crum Cemetery State Route 1, Greenup. Military rites will be preformed by American Legion Post 23, Portsmouth, Ohio.
Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup.
